Lanthanoid coordination compounds as diverse self-templating agents towards hierarchically porous Fe–N–C electrocatalysts

چکیده
Templating of rich, complex and useful porosity in carbons is achieved by the pyrolysis eight lanthanoid frameworks. A better understanding porogenesis during self-templating helps electrocatalysis, especially bubble removal.

Nitrogen self-doped porous carbon from surplus sludge as metal-free electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reactions.
Nitrogen self-doped porous carbon was prepared by calcination treatment of surplus sludge, a toxic byproduct from microbial wastewater treatments, and exhibited a mesoporous structure, as manifested in scanning and transmission electron microscopic measurements. Nitrogen adsorption/desorption studies showed that the porous carbon featured a BET surface area as high as 310.8 m(2)/g and a rather ...
متن کاملHierarchically porous graphene as a lithium-air battery electrode.
The lithium-air battery is one of the most promising technologies among various electrochemical energy storage systems. We demonstrate that a novel air electrode consisting of an unusual hierarchical arrangement of functionalized graphene sheets (with no catalyst) delivers an exceptionally high capacity of 15000 mAh/g in lithium-O(2) batteries which is the highest value ever reported in this fi...
متن کاملTargeted functionalisation of a hierarchically-structured porous coordination polymer crystal enhances its entire function.
Spatiospecific functionalisation of a shell crystal was performed in a core-shell crystal of a porous coordination polymer (PCP) via post-synthetic modification (PSM). The shell crystal allowed the core crystal to selectively accumulate N,N-dimethylaniline (DMA) and afford the intense exciplex fluorescence.

A review of the progress made in the study of the carcinogenic properties of chemical compounds, incorporating literature published during the triennial period between the First and Second International Cancer Congresses, was presented to the Second International Congress in Brussels, in September 1936, and was subsequently reprinted with an addendum covering most of the literature published up...
متن کاملHierarchically porous silicon–carbon–nitrogen hybrid materials towards highly efficient and selective adsorption of organic dyes
The hierarchically macro/micro-porous silicon-carbon-nitrogen (Si-C-N) hybrid material was presented with novel functionalities of totally selective and highly efficient adsorption for organic dyes. The hybrid material was conveniently generated by the pyrolysis of commercial polysilazane precursors using polydivinylbenzene microspheres as sacrificial templates. Owing to the Van der Waals force...
